Beginners
This subscription provides new students with information and tutorials relevant to the first six months of training they will receive in any IOGKF-affiliated dojo across the world.
The content includes in-depth tutorials on Gekisai Dai Ichi and Dai Ni, which are the first two katas all new students are taught in their early training. It also includes comprehensive explanations of dojo etiquette, blocks, strikes, stances, and moving basics.
Although the appeal of this entry-level subscription applies equally to adult beginners, we offer it more with the parents of younger children in mind.
The content is designed to help new students overcome the initial frustration and natural embarrassment of not knowing what to do in a dojo class. We have all turned left when the rest of the class went right. So, a resource such as this library that will reduce the time it takes to learn the basics is a bonus to one's continuing self-esteem.
On the other hand, if it transpires Goju-Ryu does not float your boat, or your child decides it is not for them, you have minimised the initial outlay for this foray into martial arts training.
If you are confident you will continue training beyond the first six months, we recommend you consider the Kyu Grade subscription. It will provide access to additional training content that will take you from beginner to 3rd Kyu (purple belt).
Kyu Grade Syllabus
This provides access to all EGKF/IOGKF grading syllabus katas, bunkai, and kakie up to, and including, Seiyunchin (4th Kyu).
Black Belt Syllabus
This subscription level gives you access to the entire library content for a period of one year. It includes all of the Kyu grade subscription content, but adds the training syllabus for 3rd Kyus all the way through to the higher black belt grades.
